RRC NFR Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 6777 Posts

Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has released an official centralized recruitment notification (Notification No. NFR/NAPS/ACT APP./2026) inviting online applications for the engagement of Act Apprentices across various workshops, divisions, and units. A total of 6,777 slots are available under the Apprentices Act 1961 for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 training periods.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Age Limit (As on August 19, 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 15 Years
  • Maximum Age: 24 Years

Upper Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC: 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: As per government guidelines

2. Educational & Technical Qualifications

  • For General ITI Trades: Passed Class 10 (Matriculation) or equivalent under the $10+2$ system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (the 50% condition is relaxed for SC/ST/PwBD candidates). Must hold a National Trade Certificate (NTC) or Provisional Certificate in the relevant trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.
  • For Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology / Radiology): Passed Class 12 (under $10+2$ system) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in both Class 10 and Class 12.

Selection Process

  1. Merit List: Selection will be based strictly on a combined merit list formed by taking the average of percentage marks obtained in Class 10 (Matriculation) and the ITI Trade Certificate. (For Medical Lab Technicians, merit is calculated using Class 10 + Class 12 Science marks).
  2. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates (1.5 times the number of slots) will be called for document verification.
  3. Medical Fitness: Candidates must produce a valid Medical Fitness Certificate signed by an authorized Government Doctor (Gazetted, not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon) during Document Verification.

Monthly Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per prescribed apprenticeship rules:

  • Minimum Stipend for NTC/STC Holders: ₹9,600 per month
  • 2nd Year (where applicable): ₹10,560 per month
  • 3rd Year (where applicable): ₹11,040 per month

Application Fee

  • General / OBC / EWS: ₹100 (Non-refundable)
  • SC / ST / PwBD / EBC / Women Candidates: Exempted (Free)
  • Payment Mode: Online (Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, UPI)

  3. Complete the online registration and log in with your credentials.
  4. Fill in the required details, trade preferences, and upload the scanned documents (Class 10 mark sheet, ITI certificate, photo, signature, caste certificate, etc.).
  5. Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit the form.
  6. Download and print a copy of the submitted application for future reference.

Important Note: Applicants are allowed to submit only ONE application. Multiple submissions will lead to disqualification.
