The Indian Air Force invites unmarried Indian male and female candidates to appear in the pre-registered recruitment rally to join as Agniveervayu (Musician), Intake 01/2027. The rally will be held at 2 ASC C/O Race Course Camp, Air Force Station New Delhi (New Delhi) and 7 ASC, No. 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru (Karnataka). Candidates must register online and choose two venue preferences in order of priority.

Musical Proficiency Requirements
- Proficiency in music with accuracy in tempo, pitch, and singing one complete song.
- Ability to perform a preparatory tune and read at least one notation system (Staff/Tonic Solfa/Hindustani/Carnatic etc.).
- Proficiency in playing at least one instrument from List A or List B below (proficiency in two — one from each list — is desirable).

Musical Experience Certificate required: Grade 5th or equivalent from a recognised institute, OR a Diploma in Hindustani/Carnatic Classical Music, OR certificates of participation/awards (as per notification).
Selection Process
- Verification of eligibility & original documents
- Physical Fitness Test — PFT-I (1.6 km run) and PFT-II (push-ups, sit-ups, squats)
- English Written Test (objective, 30 minutes, 30 questions, no negative marking)
- Music Proficiency Test (instrument playing, individually or in groups)
- Medical Examination (Sep 2026 at 11 AFH Hindon and SMC, AF Stn Jalahalli)

Approx. ₹10.04 lakh Seva Nidhi package on exit after 4 years. Non-contributory Life Insurance cover of ₹48 lakhs during engagement. Up to 25% of each batch may be offered enrolment into the regular Airman cadre on completion of 4 years.
How to Apply
- Register online at https://iafrecruitment.edcil.co.in with a valid e-mail ID and mobile number.
- Step I: Sign up with personal & contact details; verify via OTP sent to e-mail and mobile.
- Step II: Log in, complete qualification details, upload documents (photograph, signature, parent’s signature if under 18, left thumb impression), and submit.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee (₹100 + 18% GST) via Net Banking / Debit / Credit Card / UPI.
- Print and retain the submitted application form and Provisional Admit Card.
- Report to the allotted rally venue with all original documents on the scheduled date/time.
Documents to Carry
- Colour printout of Provisional Admit Card & filled application form
- Musical instrument for the practical test (from List A/B)
- Original + 4 self-attested photocopies of Matriculation certificate & marksheet
- Original + 4 self-attested photocopies of Musical Experience Certificate
- 8 recent passport-size colour photographs (holding a name/date slate)
- Aadhaar Card (or valid alternate photo ID for J&K, Ladakh, Assam, Meghalaya candidates)
- Signed Consent Form for PFT & Medical Tests (parent/guardian signature if under 18)
- Stationery: HB pencil, eraser, sharpener, glue stick, stapler, black/blue ball pen
- Sports shoes and shorts/track pants for the Physical Fitness Test
Mobile phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices are strictly prohibited in testing areas — candidates found in possession will be permanently debarred. Original educational certificates are mandatory for appearing in the rally; photocopies alone are not accepted without a certifying letter from the institution.
