Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit Minimum 18 years, maximum 33 years as on 03 August 2026 (age relaxation applicable for women, reserved category, ex-servicemen, and persons with disabilities as per government rules) Educational Qualification Passed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) examination with Physics, Chemistry and English subjects from a recognised Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Additional Requirements Basic knowledge of computer applications as prescribed under Gujarat Civil Services Classification (General) Rules, 1967; adequate knowledge of Gujarati and/or Hindi Nationality Must be a citizen of India, or hold nationality as per Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967

Pay Scale
Selected candidates will be appointed on a fixed monthly pay of ₹26,000 for the first five years. On satisfactory completion of five years’ service, the candidate will be eligible for regular appointment in the 7th Pay Commission scale of ₹19,900 – ₹63,200 (Level-2), subject to applicable government resolutions.

Fee must be paid online only (Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI / Wallet) after submitting the application. Fee is refunded only to candidates who appear for the examination.
Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Selection will be through a single-stage Computer Based Response Test (CBRT) / OMR objective (MCQ) competitive examination, comprising two parts in a single question paper:

Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes) combined for both parts. Negative marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying standard: 40% in both Part A and Part B independently.
How to Apply
- Visit https://ojas.gujarat.gov.in
- Click “Online Application” → “Apply” → select GSSSB
- Select Advertisement No. 433/2026-27 (X-Ray Assistant, Class-3) and click Apply Now
- Fill in Personal Details and Educational Details carefully
- Accept the declaration/assurance and save to generate your Application Number
- Upload photograph (5cm × 3.6cm) and signature (2.5cm × 7.5cm) in JPG format, under 15 KB each
- Confirm the application to generate your Confirmation Number
- Print the application form and retain it for future reference
- Pay the examination fee online before 06 August 2026
Once an application is confirmed, no changes can be made to any details, including category. Candidates wishing to correct information must submit a fresh application with correct details before the closing date, obtain a new Confirmation Number, and pay the fee again.
